Military Affairs

The age group for Reserve Forces Formation

  • Captain~ Second lieutenant: 43
  • Master sergeant: 53
  • Staff sergeant: 45 years old
  • Sergeant (Long or Short): 40
  • Soldiers (On-service, Public service, Full-time, Industrial Exceptions) : Until December 31, 8th year after expiration (Excluding the current year of expiration)

Transfer-in

예비군 전입시 대상,신고기간,신고방법,장소,구비서류에 대한 안내하는 표
Target Students who belong to the University (Reserved Forces Status)
  • Students enrolled in the Undergraduate School
  • Students enrolled in the Graduate School (except professional/specialized courses, research courses, management courses)
Reserve Forces among the Staffs (Including contract workers) in our University
Due date of Report Within two weeks after Transfer-in, Registration of student status and Appointment as new staff
How to Report Personal visit or Input through Academic Program (Return, Transfer, Etc.)

Enter Military Serial Number, Date of Expiration accurately. (Inaccuracy may cause the failure of formation of Reserve Forces)
Place Reserve Forces Battalion H.Q or Input through Academic Affairs Program (When to apply for Return to School)
Required Documents Reserve Forces Battalion Report (At the time of visit)

Transfer-out

예비군 전출시 대상,전출기간,신고방법에 대한 안내하는 표
Target Students who have lost their status as a Student Reserve Force (Graduates, dropouts, Leavers, Expelled students)
  • Double majors, Minors, Linked majors, Retaker, Delay of Graduation (deferred) and Flunker who have exceeded the class term
  • An Industrial University Student who has exceeded over six years or has not received regular assessments more than twice due to the absence of 1/3 or more of the attendance class each semester
Those who lost their status as a staff member of the University
Transfer-out period Within two weeks of loss of Student Status, Dismissal from Staff

Reserve Forces Training

예비군 교육훈련의 훈련시간,교육시기/장소,교육훈련통보,유의사항에 대한 안내하는 표
Training Hours
  • Professors, Student Reserves (Officers, Sergeants, Soldiers)
    • 1-6 years: 8 hours of basic training
    • 7 ~ 8 years: No training (Formation of reserve army)
  • General staff, Assistant, and Others (Officers, Sergeants, Soldiers)
    • 1 ~ 4 years: 36 hours
    • 5 ~ 6 years: 20 hours
    • 7 ~ 8 years: No training (Formation of reserve army)
Training period/Place
  • 1st ~ 6th year of Professors and Student Reserves: During the 1st semester
  • General staff and Assistants
    • Will conduct throughout the year according to the plan
  • Place : Anseong 2nd Battalion (Gumseok-dong, Anseong)

    Training period : Will be confirmed at the beginning of the year in cooperation with the military unit (It may be changed according to the circumstances of the military unit)
Training Notice Will be noticed 14 days before the commencement of Training on the Website, School Board, Department Board, or other means.
Instructions for training Must comply with Reserve Dress Code (Military uniforms, Hats, Girdle/Buckle, Boots, Rubber bands, Etc.)
Make sure to carry Identification Card (Resident registration card, Driving License, Student ID, Etc.)
Must observe the admission time (Enter by 09:00)

Civil Defense Work

Eligibility for Civil Defense Formation

  • South Korean Male from Jan. 01 of the year turning to 20 to Dec. 31 of the year turning to 40
  • Male of 40 years old or younger who expires from Reserve Forces
  • Male subject to re-examination who were excluded from civil defense formation due to chronic weakness
  • Persons whose reasons for exclusion of civil defense displacement are extinguished
  • Persons missing from the formation of civil defense units (including resident registration detainers)

Transfer-in of Civil Defense Corps

Training Hour/Place
  • Member in 1 ~ 4 years of Civil Defence : Basic training
    • 8 hours per year Anseong Civic Center
  • Five years of Civil Defense~ 40 years old : Emergency call once a year / Will be conducted by the University itself.
Training period Basic Training (1 ~ 4 Years) : April/September
Emergency Call Training (Over five years ~ under 40) : March ~ April

The Schedule may be changed by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs/Gyeonggi-do
Training Notice Will be noticed 14 days before the commencement of Training on the School Board and a personal training notice will be sent individually.
