PerformingTechnology Development, Consulting and Joint Research Activities in the Fine Chemical Industry and the Bio-industry, which is emerging as a Next-Generation Growth Engine
The Institute aims to conduct Technology Development, Consulting and Joint Research Activities in the Fine Chemical Industry, which is classified as a High-Tech Business among the Chemical Industry, and in the Bio-industry, which is emerging as a Next-Generation Growth Engine. The main projects include Commercialization Support of experimentally developed technologies in the field of New Material Synthesis and New Process Development, Education to cultivate Advanced Technical and Evaluation Specialists, Construction of Chemical Technology Information System and Holding of Seminars.
Future development plan
To cope with the Rapid Changes in the environment surrounding the recent chemical industry, such as Continuing High Oil Price, Strengthened Environmental Regulations, and Increasing Demand for New Materials, the Institute plans to develop FunctionalChemicals, enhance the Performance of New Products and develop New Processes by combining Green Chemistry, Nano-Technology, Chemical Technology, Life Science and Information Technology (Refer to Figure 1).

To efficiently conduct various researches related to Chemical Technology, the Institute consists of three SpecializedChemical Technology Research Departments as shown on the above organization table, and Foreign Cooperation Office to support each research department, the establishment of Information System, in the Chemical Technology Feld, and support of Industry-Academia Cooperation. Besides, the Steering Committee, which is a deliberation body, has a deliberation on various agendas and an audit to report accounting and operations to the Steering Committee.
