As the life span of knowledge and information is getting shorter and shorter in the knowledge and information society, re-education of public officials and workers in the public sector becomes an urgent task to secure national competitiveness. Accordingly, the graduate school aims for lifelong education, practical professional education, open education and information education.
The Graduate School of Pubic Policy provides public officials who are likely to have stagnant and narrow sight as a life-long education with an opportunity to have knowledge information education, and enhances the ability to analyze to produce the information necessary in the site and fosters in-depth ability to solve the problem. In the contents of education, the existing academic classification system has been drastically broken down, and the curriculum is organized in a practical way to adopt remote class to alleviate the temporal and spatial constraints of local civil servants. In addition, the graduate school enables students to acquire information technology that is highly used in practice as information education, and to cultivate the ability to actively use information technology in business processing and providing administrative services.
