
Educational objectives and introduction
Department of Civil, Safety and Environmental Engineering combines the sciences of civil engineering, safety engineering, and environmental engineering to create new knowledge and foster experts by maximizing the synergy effect of education and research. Civil engineering explores the knowledge required to plan, design, build, and maintain a variety of infrastructure in a safer, more economical and environmentally sound manner. Safety engineering prevents large industrial accidents, especially construction accidents, and environmental engineering solves problems throughout the environment by acquiring expertise in natural ecology and renewable energy based on basic research such as chemistry, biology, and civil engineering.
